And this, of course, explains why I had ticket number 411 to my county Democratic Bar-B-Q this afternoon.

And that 411 number is all the more impressive when you consider the estimated population of Clarington (the town it was held in) is only 428.

You might have been able to find a gap at a table to pull up a chair. With patience, you may even have been able to find a big enough gap to park within a block of the venue. But an enthusiasm gap? Forget it. It was the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen at one of these.
