Who Is The Mother Of Trig Palin?

Andrew Sullivan wants to know, who is the mother of Trig Palin?

Of course that’s not the real issue here. Instead it all relates to Palin’s recent comments that seem to support the idea that President Barack Obama isn’t a U.S. citizen.

If she thinks that’s fair, than this must be too, right?

For the record, I don’t support raising either issue. But I do think it’s an interesting read.

In at least two points, Gov. Palin points out that she didn't (and hasn't) asked for Pres. Obama's birth certificate. She also points out that both are legitimate questions. Note that there is one major difference between Trig Palin and Pres. Obama, Trig has not yet run for or held any public office. He's a private citizen, like you & I. Asking him, or his mother, to prove his birth information is "unusual" at best, a breach of his "privacy rights" at worst. Maybe we should take a page from that well known philosopher Willie Nelson, who said "You show me yours.. and I'll show you mine."

http://msgboard.snopes.com/politics/graphics/birth.jpg i really want to know. it took google 0.30 seconds to find it. i really would appreciate an explanation, as i am sure would just about everyone who has had their time wasted listening to people blather on about this "legitimate question." why, when all evidence supports the President's story, do you continue to question his citizenship?

I don't think either birth certificate is worth raising a stink about. But then I didn't bring it up here to begin with...

 

And I'm not sure your point. There's a lot of people who question the authenticity of the document you found. How does that relate to Trig Palin's? Or is it just wanting to poke at the previous VP candidate? She's making a lot of money because of the people who hate her and I can't for the life of me figure out why.

 I did have some interesting academic questions sometime back that never got answered. What would have happened post-election and pre-inaugauration if we had discovered that the president were not a natural born citizen? I think the Constitution would tend to favor the VP-elect taking the office, but it isn't completely clear to me.

 

The same question could apply today. If for some reason, the President were found to be legally unqualified, what would/could happen? Note that these questions are not limited to the current President, but would apply to any past or future presidet.

1) there are "a lot of people" who believe that the earth was first populated by aliens who arrived on DC-8s 75 million years ago (i.e., scientologists)...doesn't mean they are right, or that you should listen to them. 2) if a sitting president were found not to meet the criteria for holding office, (s)he could be impeached. that's about it. no one would have standing to challenge in court. 3) personally, i don't give a shit about who gave birth to trig palin. what i do care about is the possibility that this woman takes the wheel of the world's most powerful economy/military.

But that's completely wrong

You're using Sarah's own misdirection direction that she relies on when her own behavior is attacked — she insists it's about her "off limits"kids. (She's done this repeatedly to try to intimidate people from criticizing her — she drags her kids in as props and tools) . The argument isn't remotely about Trig on any level — it's about his birth (over which he has no control) so that means it's entirely it's about his MOTHER . An his mother did run for public office. And she never released his birth certificate so once again she is blatantly lying.
