GOP AG Nominee: Who?

The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that the Ohio GOP is backing one D. Michael Crites for AG. According to the Dispatch, he is the managing partner of a Columbus law firm, and previously served as a U.S. Attorney under Presidents Reagan and Bush the First. 

Has anyone ever heard of this guy?

The guy who prosecuted Charlie Hustle

Dear Pete Rose fans: According to Gongwer, this is the guy who put together the federal prosecution of one Pete Rose for tax evasion. Mr. Hustle probably deserved it, but how'd you like to run a campaign in Ohio on this platform? If someone could prove he put Art Schlister in the slam, maybe we can help him alienate Central Ohio too. Since we've never heard of this guy, I'm not sure what else he's going to run on. With the Governor taking out two Republican House candidates today, this has been one bad 12 hours or so for the Ohio GOP. Unbelievable disarray ...

Republicans love Pete Rose

They defended him for years. Never understood why, since he hardly personified "family values" and admitted to being a heavy gambler. Of course, they defended Roger Clemens as well, so their judgement of sports stars, like their judgement on everything else, must be questioned.
