Whenever You Have Bad News...

It’s a pretty old rule in the political playbook that whenever you have bad news, you announce it on the Friday before a holiday weekend. So when I saw that Sarah Palin was not only not running for reelection but stepping down, I instantly became suspicious.

Turns out that suspicion may not have been off the mark. It’s now being reported that Palin may soon be tied up in a major corruption scandal that’s been kept mostly quiet so far.

While the Think Progress link above has a pretty good description of what went down, it basically seems that Palin has received several gifts from a construction firm that she’s helped get major state contracts.

Could yet another Republican Presidential hopeful bite the dust? Will there be anyone left to run? Stay tuned.
