Two days after falsely suggesting that Strickland is gay, 700WLW radio host Billy Cunningham apologizes (sort of)

Today, on the Big One, 700 WLW, Bill Cunningham, the local talk radio host that insinuated on Fox News' Hannity and Colmes that Congressman Strickland was gay and had a relationship with a former staffer with an expunged criminal record, apologized.

You can listen to it here. (Fast forward to 23:39.)

Cunningham: "Segman, if I have said anything to you or to Ted Strickland that could be interpreted by you or him as a negative personal attack, I hereby apologize."

Cunningham then reads some listener e-mails criticizing Cunningham for his attacks on Strickland. "Cheap, hurtful," and "irresponsible."

sad

Sad. If the station he works for had any integrity they would fire him.

Any idea when their license renewal is up ?

The station

he works for has no integrity. Clear Channel through and through. Willy is one of the most popular on the station, so they certainly won't do anything about it. They did recently suspend a sports person, Andy Furman, for calling T.J. Houshmanzadah a racist after the multi-raced T.J. didn't show up for a show. It was a Bengals' bye week, and he didn't think he was supposed to be there. T.J. told Furman he could go fuck himself. I guess we find out in Cincinnati that it's OK to tell lies about politicians, but not OK to mess with a popular sports' figure. BTW, T.J. is my favorite player. If Furman messes with him anymore, he will have me to deal with.

IF?

That is not an apology.

"If I have said anything to you or to Ted Strickland that could be interpreted by you or him as a negative personal attack, I hereby apologize."

These guys love the cameras in the middle of the smear, but act like they were not on once they have to apologize... This is the most disgraceful thing I have ever seen on Fox News, and that is saying a lot.
