Time to weigh in on the Cafaro issue

Vindy.com - Dann's spokesman says 'pay-to-play' isn't a factor.

You can read the above article. Lots of he said she said stuff. I don't have any insight into whether "pay for play" is involved or not. But the optics of it are just horrible.

After a year of scandal and corruption the Democrats don't just have to be squeaky clean, they have to look like they are squeaky clean too. This doesn't do that. It's bad politics.

God bless Capri, but she has tried and failed twice now to carpet bag a legislative seat. Getting appointed to one is even worse.

Marc Dann should have stayed a million miles away from this and deferred to the Senate caucus, and the Senate caucus should have nixed the Cafaro thought in an instant. They still should.

I don't support Democrats simply because they have a "D" after their name, I support them in the hope they apply more common sense and ethics to the problems this state faces. I aint alone in that feeling.

All of Cafaro's money aint going to give any succor to the heartburn appointing her to Dann's seat is going to cause.
