Tim Ryan: Despite Clinton's Speech Tonight, I Have Not Endorsed
Tonight during Senator Clinton's nationally televised speech from Youngstown, Ohio the senator made sure folks knew she was happy Congressman Tim Ryan (OH-17) was attending her speech. In fact, she timed it just right so she was saying "TIM RYAN" as her speech began national broadcast.
THANK YOU CONGRESSMAN TIM RYAN FOR BEING HERE!!!!!
You know, something to that effect. And you know, if I didn't know better, I'd think Congressman Ryan had endorsed her - which he has not.
Well, guess I wasn't the only one that got that impression, as my email box started to fill up with questions about Congressman Ryan. Checking in quickly with Tim Ryan's office this evening, I was informed the Congressman has not endorsed and he is very much on the fence. Funny how Clinton was able to give the impression otherwise. FUNNY.
Oh, and the Ryan office informed me that I was not the only person they were talking to about the endorsement bruhaha.
So as always, thank you Senator Clinton for staying above the bar, not trying to manipulate anyone, not leading anyone on, etc., etc.

In fact, Sawyer is still listed on the BSB front page with no correction, and a little snarky note at the bottom saying "Unlike Team Hillary, I doubt you'll find Obama making any endorsements up on this list."
And yet it appears that is just what happened.

Jerid - why does it make me laugh???
Well, It kinda reminds me of a certain flier we put together - insinuating our candidate was the endorsed candidate :-)
You can't really knock Hillary to much for being clever (which is all that this really is) - especially since there are real things you can knock her for (like her 45% disapproval rating - or her inability to beat John McCain in the general)
Either way, i'm sure Mr. Ryan will be joining us on the Obama bandwagon right around the National Convention in Denver!
Did Hillary actually say that Ryan endorsed her?? No. And isn't it kind of odd to have an elected official at your speech on an election night who doesn't support you? No, it's not, nor is it unusual to point out to the crowd that such an important figure is there. Talk about your non-issues, Tim.
Meanwhile, Obama has claimed an endorsement of someone who, in fact, has not endorsed him and has been leaning towards Clinton.
I won't hold my breath waiting for you to criticize Obama for explicitly stating his endorsements he didn't have after you criticized Clinton for merely recognizing Congressman Ryan's presence at her campaign event.
how all the networks dropped Shrillary's speech in Y-town last night and switched to Obama's victory speech in Houston?
Those negative ads and "plagiarism" charges sure worked wonders in Wisconsin and Hawaii, didn't they?
