Like the song says, it's only just begun.
It's a Festivus Miracle!

...when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? :)

Plenty of time for history lessons next year.

But just in case you aren't, here's a little help.

Double post. Deleted.

Judge, I was indeed making a facetious reference to the movie Animal House. Tudorman helpfully provided a link to a YouTube clip capturing the scene I was talking about.

Of course, the substance of my comment is that while this skirmish is over, Ohio faces a much greater budget shortfall in the next biennium. So, the war is far from over at this point.

Thanks Nick and Tudor...I stand corrected! There, that didn't hurt too much. And you are right Nick...this fight is far from over. At some point, with or without guidance from Washington, we have to look at the hit our state takes in Medicaid. I remain convinced that we are on the wrong path with health care. If you don't work in Ohio, your kids get great health care coverage, with no questions asked. Come to the ER on a saturday night and demand that the physician check out all four kids...even if no one is sick...and we send a bill for $4000 to the state. BUT IF YOU ARE WORKING IN OHIO, and your kid gets really sick...you have few, if any choices. Medicaid is a wonderful idea that has gone astray, and all the politicians are afraid to talk about it. Not me. And on that note, I think I will close the world's greatest Christmas Holiday ever.
