Ted calls Obama "American Idol", slams Tim Ryan
Ted Strickland is in Mark Penn's spell, too.
Gov. Ted Strickland says Democrat Barack Obama is "hugely talented" and an "exceptional person." But Ohioans should vote for Democrat Hillary Clinton because the March 4 primary is not about selecting the "next American idol," Strickland told reporters in Washington today, where he is attending the National Governors Association winter meeting.
Then Ted proceeds to absurdly demean Tim Ryan.
Strickland went on to compare Obama to Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Youngstown.
Ryan, like Obama, served for a stint in the state senate and has been in Congress for a relatively short time, three terms, and is tall, handsome, articulate and politically savvy, Strickland said. But he says he has told Ryan, who is neutral in the Democratic primary, that while he considers the 34-year-old a rising star and potential presidential candidate down the road, no one is talking about a Ryan candidacy right now.
I'm sure Tim appreciates the comparison, but Ted, no one is talking about Tim Ryan for President right now because HE ISN'T OLD ENOUGH UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, YOU MORON.
This is enough, Ted. Enough. You really don't want Ohio to have this bad a taste in their mouth on March 5. Listen to me. Please. You are putting yourself in jeopardy here. Ohio is paying more attention to this primary than most general elections, especially independents, who you will need to rely on for re-election. You are truly, truly, putting yourself at risk here. It's time to tell Hillary to do her own dirty work. She's proven she's quite happy to do so. Don't go down in flames with her.

Gov. Strickland, please stop this crazy behavior!
I was so proud of Strickland when he became Governor, I felt confident in his abilities. Recently, I've been apalled by his actions and I am finding it hard to believe that this is even him. I guess power really does corrupt.
Obama & Ryan - I kinda like the sound of that
Maybe the 2 of them can finally put a stop to the generation that gave us: Nixon, Reagan, 2 Bush's, the Vietnam War, killed 2 Kennedy's, & Dr. King - polluted our lakes, destoryed our ozone, force fed us all kinds of crazy medication, slipped money for erectile dysfunction research into children's health and wellness bills and gave ME & MY CHILDREN a huge and crushing national debt.
As someone getting ever closer to 30 I just hope my generation can learn from the selfish generation that spawned us and came from the Greatest generation...
I've been thoroughly disgusted with my generation's role in the "Greed is good" administration, the almost-abandonment of environmental values and the head-exploding stupidity of eight years of Bush. I never voted for a Republican once (or even Nader), but I didn't work hard enough for better Democrats.
It was the Greatest Generation that got us into Vietnam, and my generation that got us out. But apparently most of my generation learned nothing from the exercise, and for that we don't deserve to be forgiven.
Try to do better than we did. That's setting the bar low, isn't it?
