Strickland Signs Energy Bill

Late Thursday, Gov. Ted Strickland signed Senate Bill 221, which will re-regulate Ohio's electric utilities and avoid skyrocketing electric bills next year as allowed by legislation passed in 1999 under Bob Taft.

The funny part was how Slick Jonny Husted and the GOP tried to take credit for this bill, after their alternative legislation that would have basically given FirstEnergy et. al. everything they wanted drew a veto threat from Strickland.
