Sarah Palin Visits Southeastern Ohio

100_1600 I’ve always said that I’ll try to  see any candidate that comes to my area, and last night when Sarah Palin came to nearby St. Clairsville was no exception.

It seemed to me during her speech that she was making a serious, yet insincere, effort to avoid making negative attacks against Obama like she has in the past few day. For example, at one point she exclaimed that she didn’t want to attack her opponent, but it was important to look at his character. Yet she also found ways to make those same points through veiled references that the crowd easily picked up on.

It really seemed strange that she did everything she could to bring things like the alleged Obama – Ayers connection up, yet she wouldn’t actually say it (though the crowd often yelled out). When I got home however, I read an article alleging that McCain and Palin had a falling out over the attacks she has been making at rallies. After reading that, it all seemed to click together.

It also irritates me that she’s now accusing her opponents of looking back to the past to point fingers, when that’s what she’s been doing.

The crowd didn’t appear to be like the one Tim encountered in Cleveland, though at one point the people behind me started making jokes about Obama getting assassinated.

SNL used Palin's actual transcript for *parody*

For goodness sake, literally this woman is a parody of herself- this is remarkable mostly for the point that while a bunch of us a laughing, this person is still considered to be a serious candidate for VP and thusly potentially President!  Seriously!

Tina Fey didn't even have to write this script, we are living in Bizzarro world, and btw...

If there is a falling out between mcCain and Palin, that would be understandable considering these 2 people don't know each other at all and only had met ONE TIME before she was chosen for him.  (see below)

McCain has sunk to new lows by lying that it is coming naturally- on an interview with ET's Mary Hart, I saw him sit there and discuss how Cindy helped him make his decision to choose Palin- 4:30 mins into the clip:

He talks about how how he and Cindy "talked about her for a long time" and that "Cindy got to know her as a mother" etc and that "they had a relationship".

These are called LIES.  Don't you think??

Andrea Mitchell: John McCain Only Met Sarah Palin Once (VIDEO)
August 29, 2008 05:54 PM

On MSNBC this evening Andrea Mitchell reported on how minimal John McCain's interactions with his choice for vice president, Sarah Palin, have been. According to Mitchell, McCain only met Palin once.

Watch the clip:

Politico has more on the short history of their encounters:

John McCain on Friday announced a running mate whom he met only six months ago and with whom he spoke just once on the phone about the position before offering it in person earlier this week.

McCain's first encounter with Sarah Palin came at a Washington meeting of the National Governors Association in February, according to a campaign-provided reconstruction of how the little-known Alaska governor was thrust into the national spotlight. The two discussed the position by phone on Sunday before McCain invited Palin and her husband to Arizona to formally make the offer. McCain, joined by his wife, Cindy, did just that Thursday morning at their home near Sedona, Ariz.

And as Think Progress is reporting, McCain Campaign spokesperson Nancy Pfotenhauer appeared on Fox News earlier today and was asked how well McCain knew Palin. Her answer to host Bill Hemmer:

"You're running flat into the wall of my ignorance here, Bill. I truly have no indication whatsoever the extent of a relationship that exists with the Governor of Alaska. "
