PPP: In Ohio, PUMA's are Holding Out

The latest Public Policy Polling done in Ohio shows the race all locked up: 45% Obama, 45% McCain, 10% undecided. Ironically, while Sen. Obama continues to do well amongst independents, the latest poll shows some self-identified Democrats slipping into the undecided column. PPP notes that "the Democrats neglecting to choose Obama are disproportionately white, female, and middle-aged, an inclination that it could be former supporters of Hillary Clinton that are holding out."

Will the Denver convention finally convince the PUMA's to get side with Sen. Obama? We'll see, and I have to believe now that it makes the VP pick all the more important.

VP Crucial Link

Obama's pick is a key to victory.  Kaine (VA) is a first term governor with little foreign service experience.  Bayh (IN) is boring.  Biden (DE) is better but has that  plagiarism baggage.  Clinton (NY) would be the best prepared, experienced and exciting addition to his ticket.
