OH-SOS: The Dispatch Takes Down Republican PAC

David Potts - Posted on 16 August 2010

So the Republicans have put together a new PAC to trash our Secretary of State candidate Maryellen O’Shaughnessy. You know, because it’s gonna be pretty hard for someone that doesn’t live in the district he votes in to attack a Secretary of State candidate directly.

But the best part? The group is headed by Jeanette Moll, the woman that runs against in the 18th Congressional Republican primary every election and doesn’t come close to winning.

I don’t want to sound condescending, but I really do think this woman is an idiot (really).

I know it sounds harsh, but just look at the Dispatch post. You’ll see such highlights as:

The group notes that most of O’Shaugnessy’s money (not raised from the Democratic Party) comes from union PACs. “She owes them a debt and she will repay them,” said Sara Walsh, a PAC member and realtor from Genoa Township. Asked about the money Husted has raised from a variety of business interests, Moll said, “our focus is not on Jon Husted.”

and

The group notes that O’Shaughnessy has been on the ballot eight times for five different offices. Moll did not say if she shared the same concern about Husted who, at 18 years younger, has been on the ballot six times.

Seriously, go read it. It may be the greatest thing the Dispatch has ever published.
