Ohio House Republicans Throwing Stones From Glass Houses
Today Bill Batchelder raised a fuss and accused Ohio House Democrats of illegally coordinating with the independent group “Our Future Ohio”.
Now besides the fact that Batchelder didn’t provide a single piece of evidence to support his claims, this complaint is ridiculous. Especially when it appears that the House Republicans are engaging in the exact same kind of behavior they’re accusing.
Take a look at the following too mailers:
They appear to both use photographs from the same photographer. Except the top mailer was paid for by the Ohio Republican Party and the second by the independent Republican State Leadership Committee.
Hey, wait a minute… Wouldn’t that be illegal coordination?
And then there’s this:
Batchelder said Melamed must have had access to Democratic polling and other campaign information to help target expenditures for Our Future Ohio in that short of time.
You see, this is really fun. The Ohio House Republican Organizational Committee (OHROC) uses Public Opinion Strategies for it’s polling. Anyone care to take a guess which pollster the Republican State Leadership Committee? I’ll give you a hint, it’s the exact same one. Just check the campaign finance forms.
