Ohio BWC needs a serious Makeover

I am sending this in hopes that a Story or something can be done about the way the Ohio BWC treats injured workers. I have been to hell and back with them. In 1998 I had a spine injury and have had three surgeries since as well as a Staph infection that nearly cost me my life.

Before the injury things were not perfect but much better than they are now. I grew up being Bipolar and having ADD this injury has worsened these conditions. I have since become very depressed, suicidal, have lost interest in just about everything, I now live in Chronic Pain everyday and the thing is my symptoms will never get better they will only get worse with age.

BWC refuses to pay for medications in which could somewhat control my symptoms all of which are directly related to and or prescribed to treat the allowed conditions of my claim, and the reason behind this is due to a Medication review done by a Dr. Radecki which was sanctioned by the State Medical Board for his prescription writing habits.

I have also been imprisoned for nine months for issues related to the Staph Infection, they considered me to be Doctor shopping because I had frequently gone to the Emergency Room for the pain from the staph infection which was miss diagnosed on every occasion.

I now have medical bills dating back to 1999 which are unpaid and have totally ruined my credit. The way they get around this is shuffle paperwork (bill's) back and forth with the billing parties and MCO and tell you that a wrong code has been submitted. They do this for so long so they meet the time frame (2yr) and the bills then get stuck to the injured worker. While imprisoned BWC was illegally obtaining Medical Records and when I mentioned this to them and told them I had knowledge of HIPPA laws the document mysteriously disapeared from their Dolphin site,("kind of like the coins in which are no more"). They also post other injured workers medical records in my claim as well (another violation of HIPPA).

I know that I am not the only one this is happening to. Not only do they cause misery but they ruin peoples lives, they destroy families. I hope and prey that there is something that can be don to blow the lid off so changes can be made. I am considering a protest at the Cleveland State Building but am in need of people to help with this quest for change.
