OH-15: Pryce to Retire?
I just got a call from a reliable source, checking up on a rumor that Deborah Pryce is set to announce her retirement soon. This would be a shocker, but not altogether off the map. Afterall, Hastert, Rove, LaHood, Hobson and others are jumping off the sinking ship that is the GOP right now. I'll be following this rumor as it develops. Anyone else here anything about this?
Petro?

Stivers and others have been waiting for this day, but the surprise entrant may be Petro, who has now lived on Columbus a long time.

Debs only chance was if there was a nasty primary. Once Paula Brooks was out, Deb was toast. Paula should be thanked for clearing the field. Go Mary Jo!

Deb's chances

Whatever Pryce decides to do, she would have won in easier fashion than she did last year. Mary Jo is not a viable candidate. If Paula would have run, that might have been a different story.
I am surprised that Pryce is retiring considering that the environment is no one near as bad as it was last year, and she has certainly moderated her positions since leaving leadership.

She's still schluping signs though

I was just at the Taste of UA yesterday and dirty Deb had a booth setup giving out yard signs and other goodies. So either she's just trying to clean out the closets or she doesn't plan on calling it quits any time soon.
