OH-15: KILROY WINS AFTER ALL PROVISIONALS ARE COUNTED

Sources inside the Kilroy camp and Franklin County Democratic Party are both informing BSB at this hour that Mary Jo Kilroy has received enough votes from provisional ballots to not only win the 15th Congressional District, but win by a large enough margin to avoid an automatic recount. More details as they become available.
And I would be remiss in not pointing out that Kilroy's win gives the Democrats the majority of the Ohio congressional delegation for the first time in a long time, probably since 1994.
UPDATE: Franklin County Dem Party Exec Dir Zach Manifold tells me Congresswoman-elect Kilroy's margin of victory was 2,311 votes.
UPDATE 2X: This margin of victory was also quoted by Kilroy campaign manager Randy Borntrager in an e-mail to supporters this evening.

Stivers conceeds after Kilroy wins

Mary Jo Kilroy has defeated Steve Stivers according to an unofficial count of ballots by the Franklin County Board of Elections late Sunday. Stivers has conceeded the race, according to his campaign.
Kilroy (D-Columbus) beat Stivers (R-Columbus) by 2,311 votes, said board of elections spokesperson Ben Piscitelli. Kilroy's margin of victory is .76 percent -- or larger than the 0.5 percent that would allow Stivers to seek a taxpayer funded recount. Kilroy won 45.91 percent and Stivers 45.15 percent.
Stivers has conceeded the race, according to press secretary Rob Nichols. "No more recounts, no more challenges," Nichols said.

First time ever in my life!
Two years ago, my leaders in the Federal government were George Voinovich, Mike Dewine, Debbie Pryce, and George Bush. Bob Taft was my Governor, and Ken Blackwell was my Secretary of State.
Now, Voinovich is still there, but the rest have been replaced by Sherrod Brown, Mary Jo Kilroy, Barack Obama, Ted Strickland and Jennifer Brunner. And that was in just two years! What an ass-kicking comeback.
