OH-02: Wulsin Outraises Schmidt, Nearly Even in Cash-on-Hand

Once again, Democratic challenger Victoria Wulsin has outraised GOP incumbent "Mean Jean" Schmidt in the race for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District. How many times has Wulsin done this? How about six quarters in row. For the calendar challenged, that means that Wulsin has outraised Schmidt in every single quarter since the Schmidt was sworn in in January 2007. This is a remarkable accomplishment considering that this is a district that voted 64% for President Bush in 2004. Schmidt has mediocre favorable/unfavorable ratings even amongst GOPers in this district. Wonder what her goons are going to do about that?

For the record, Wulsin raised $309,000 to Schmidt's $301,000, meanwhile, Ron Paul-esque independent candidate David Krikorian raised $150,000. In terms of cash on hand, Wulsin's $378,000 nearly equals Schmidt's $393,000. And with today's word out of DC that the DCCC's media buy in the Cincinnati market was intended for both OH-01 AND OH-02, this race will certainly continue to be competitive.

Do we have a problem here? Yes, if you're Mean Jean.
