ODP Throws Down the Gauntlet

Wow. What a hard hitting ad produced by the Ohio Democratic Party.
I don't know that I've ever seen a gauntlet thrown down as forcefully as this one. The 'Fern and ODP are daring the GOPers to explain the economic pain suffered by ordinary Ohioans, while they've turned a blind eye to the abuses on Wall Street that lead to this $700 billion bailout.

Not sure it's a game-changer. There were plenty of ads like that in 2004 -- here's one. Everyone agrees there's a problem, but the fundamental question is whether people trust Democrats to do anything differently. Pelosi and Reid ramming through the pork-laden "bailout" bill doesn't help.
Nonetheless -- very good ad. Too bad it's true.
More horrible news: GM just announced that it's closing its Moraine plant and laying off 1,400 workers. Just to make it even worse, they're laying them off on Dec. 23rd.

Thanks Nick for highlighting our ad. This ad is game-changing because it reveals the utter failure of GOP economic policies in Ohio.
Under George Bush, 1,087 factories and companies in Ohio have shut down or had mass layoffs due to Republican policies in Washington - an average of nearly three per week in Ohio each and every week for the past eight years.
These shutdowns or layoffs have put more than 180,000 Ohioans out of work, devastating their families and our communities.
