NRCC Sweatin' Bullets, Drops $280k into "Safe" OH-5

Yesterday I reported that the DCCC had dropped $150k into ads for Robin Weirauch's campaign for Congress. Today Swing State Project is reporting signs that the GOP is more than a tad scrrrd.

In fact they're so scared that today they dropped $280k into this supposedly safe Republican district. Now maybe it's just me, but I didn't think the NRCC went around dropping cash like it ain't a thang in "safe" races. Believe me, the GOP's terrified of what's shaping up in OH-5.

Here's the report:

And as Swing State reminded us all, it's not like the NRCC has money to burn. Afterall, they're already $1 million in the hole, compared to our $27million surplus with the DCCC. Bling bling indeed.

The two expenditures will amount to a direct mail piece from Majority Strategies and a TV ad from Stevens Reed.

Majority Strategies used to do a bunch of work for Larry Householder, while Stevens Reed made the Dukakis tank ad...so I'm sure they're top notch.
