Another Misleading Wulsin Endorsement (or, Schmidt Part Deux)

On day five of the Wulsin Retraction Watch, ANOTHER endorsement listed on the WWWWWW has now been revealed to be, ahem, incorrect.

Today, the Thor Jacobs campaign issued the following endorsement from Cincinnati City Councilwoman Laketa Cole who has been claimed as an endorser by the Wulsin campaign:

Cincinnati Councilwoman Laketa Cole Joins Council colleagues in endorsing Jacobs

For Immediate Release

April 24, 2006   Cincinnati, Ohio

The President Pro Tem of the Cincinnati City Council, Laketa Cole, has recently endorsed Thor Jacobs in the Ohio 2nd District Democratic Congressional primary.

Saying “it is with great pleasure that I endorse Thor Jacobs for Congress” Cole added that she “believes he is more than capable and qualified for this office.”

Councilmember Cole joins her council colleagues John Cranley and Cecil Thomas as selecting Jacobs as the Democrat with the strongest connections to the City of Cincinnati and the strongest opportunity to vigorously compete and win in the 2nd district.

Other Recent Endorsements* of Thor Jacobs:

Dayton Daily News

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 212-Hamilton County

Plumbers, Pipe Fitters & Mechanical Equipment Service Local 392-Hamilton County

Roofers Local 42- Hamilton County

Boilermakers Local 105 -Pike County

Progressive Democrats of Cincinnati organizational founder: Tracy Hendricks

Unlike other campaigns the Jacobs campaign has not been repeatedly forced to remove bogus endorsements from our communications.

So, that makes DfC, HCDP Nominating Committee, and Laketa Cole.  How many more "endorsements" will the Wulsin campaign have to (silently) retract?

Ok

This woman is pathetic. Maybe Heimlich injected her with lie serum.

what is pathetic

is the enquirer's lack of attention to the dem side of the primary.  she's gotten a free ride on something mean jean had days of coverage over.

day six

damn.  day six.  still no retraction.  still no admission that the endorsements weren't on the up-and-up.

Only media endorsements have influence

Why would any Ohioan endorse someone who courts white racists that display the Confederate Flag in Ohio. First, didn't Ohioans fight a Civil War to stamp out that symbol? Second, didn't a large majority of Ohioans take part in the Civil Rights movement to stamp out that symbol?  And finally, don't you think George Bush and his right wingers are truly nuts to go overboard courting this sort of "stars and bars" folks at fundamentalist churches and NASCAR races?

ummm

what the hell are you talking about?

D'oh

You're like Homer Simpson bryan, check the facts before the attacks and quit posting the Confederate Flag in photos of candidates you support.  You're not showing that you're observant or considerate.

wulsin can't seem to get much right this primary season.  her latest mailing apparently violates fec guidelines regarding disclosure.  farmer vic has a pretty mail piece, though.
