More proof that political ads can be creative

Ohio isn't the only place having an election in early May.  There are local elections in Britain, too.  To join the fun, see Dave The Chameleon's blog, and from there you can watch the ad launched this week attacking the Conservative Party's new leader, David Cameron (said chameleon).  Dave himself is very excited.
Well, what a week I've had! Talk about no rest for the wicked - I've been up to my opposable eyeballs in work, work, work!  I've been filming non stop for my very own programme, all about little old me....I just can't wait for you all to see it. They've managed to capture my best side I think, and I look jolly spiffing standing in front of all those microphones…
I'm sure you'll agree that British political ads are superior to ours, for many reasons, not least of which is the use of a lizard riding a bike to the happy strains of Boy George & Culture Club.

very funny

i just about choked when i heard the familiar strains of boy george.

too bad taft isn't running again.  i see mr. ed, all by his lonesome, to the strains of "all by myself."

I just about choked....

when I saw the picture of Eric Carmen with his 80s hair. He was described by a publication (can't remember which one) during his late 80s "Dirty Dancing" phase as an "aging Farrah Fawcett wannabe." And remember, OUR lizard isn't very good at riding a bike. He always seems to hit things and/or fall off.

Fatherhood has tamed that

Fatherhood has tamed that hair.  He lives near me and I see him in the grocery store once in a while, almost always with at least one of his kids.  Never seen him with his wife, though.  Maybe he is all by himself?

Nah....

I'm almost positive he and Susan are still together. And he had to change the hair; the 80s are long over!
