If Abortion Were Illegal

Wow. Go read and listen for yourself what happens in El Salvador with the same laws on abortion as they have passed in South Dakota, and as the GOPers like Blackwell and Petro want to pass in Ohio.

Maybe they just want to create jobs ? Apparently you need a Forensic Vagina Specialist (that's right a vagina becomes a crime scene).

I am so not joking. This story is going to be in this Sunday's New York Times Magazine - cover story.

I can't believe

the Democrats are finally doing something I've demanded for eons, with their First Prevention bill. This so puts Republicans on the line. They either haveto get on board or expose their true agenda. I can hardly wait to get my response from DeWine to see what he has to say (Voinovich won't answer and Stephanie Tubbs Jones will be on board). He's in a pickle indeed! Support comprrehensive sex education and guaranteed access to brith control and piss of the state's religious extremists even more? Or come out against it and alienate voters and expose his "pro-life" views as a sham? What to do! What to do! I am glad I'm not Mike DeWine!

The stick will hurt God's Only People.

For years the Republicans have been using abortion as a stick to hit the Democrats with.  Now, things are starting to change.  It is time that Republicans who are pro-choice stand up against the extremist in their own party.  The general population, of this country, supports legalized abortion, absitence programs can't get the job done, and the more they limit abortions, they more people they will turn off.  I can see a day when the extremist will be put on the spot in the near future, and the stick will be in the other party's hand.  The voters will reverse their current position for the opposite.

This is why

I think you will see the Republicans downplaying abortion in this state this fall. I think the presentation I heard Russell Johnson do recently was a preview of that. He focused primarily on the threat gays pose to society. Blackwell's own position is so extreme. Of course, now that we know he invested in the company that makes the morning after pill, maybe he can paint himself as a compassionate moderate! Nah......

Blackwell's portfolio

  1. Diebold
  2. Makers of the "morning after" pill
  3. Slot machine manufacturers

Please feel free to add to this list.

We will, but

this stuff is coming out in drips and drabs.  How do we ever know if we have the enitre story or truth from a Republican such as Blackwell?
