DeWine suffering from Bush syndrome ?
I really don't know how to go about saying this, but Mike DeWine, in his new ad, looks and sounds like he has had a mild stroke.

His speech is all kinda drawly and he talks out of the side of his mouth. Really not like I remember him at all. Like I said not sure how to say this without being politically incorrect - but he looks and sounds like a retard, or drunk.
Maybe he has Bush syndrome ?
Sure, he is
DeWine was at the Riverside Founders Day Parade
I agree
My first reaction when I watched the ad was that he doesn't look good.  Something is wrong with his speech, also.
I saw Voinovich in person several months ago and he is looking very old and frail, with hearing aids and kinda shaky.  Dennis Kucinich could have whupped him easily.
Must be all the high living and good times catching up to them.

Yes, I did give our illustrious Senator from ohio a stern dressing down.  But, before I got to him, unbeknownst to me, a volunteer for Dan Foley in a yellow shirt accosted him minutes before I did.  She proceeded to tell Mr. DeWine that the current negative ad he was running was disgusting and that she whould never vote for anyone sinking to that level and had lost all respect for him.  I caught the senator walking quickly across the school yard after almost running and calling his name ..."Mike...Mike".  It was as if he didn't want another run-in with anyone wearing a yellow Dan Foley shirt.  When I did finally chase him down he refused to shake my hand.  I asked him what the hell they were doing in Washington, that they were destroying our military.  We had lost 2619 of our children in this stupid war for what?..."crickets"...I said that they were damn good at creating disabled Veterans but really shitty at taking care of them which brought his response of "VA got an 80% incrrease in funding."  80% for the entire VA, not just health care, which is why they have cut back on PTSD and head injury treatment and are unable to hire more doctors because of lack of full, mandatory funding.  I indentified myself as a retired veteran who had taken an oath to defend and uphold the Constituion and these knucklheads in DC were letting the Imperial President shredd the Constitution by violating the 1St and 4Th amendments....again crickets...I blasted his ass about checks and balances and oversight of this king that calls himself president  At the mention of the word king, Dewine just looked down, shook his head, and muttered "oh, he's not a king" and rushed away.
By the way, as soon as I saw this post today I called the first volunteer who talked to him and asked her if she had noticed any stroke like symptoms.  She is a physical therapist and would be able to spot them.  She said he appeared fine to her.
And another thing...
What is he doing at a little podunk festival like Riverside's Founders Day?  Scraping for every last vote he can muster?  Internal polling must not be good!

You're one in a million. I'm proud to know you.
Good for you, Scurrvydog.
I'm with Matglaze.  DeWine definitely needed to hear from a real live person.  Papers and polls can be brushed off, but a face to face encounter gets to *anybody* in a visceral way they can't really ignore.    The fact that he didn't respond to everything doesn't mean he didn't hear you.
Thank you.

DeWine smoking stuff...
