Judge Anna Diggs Taylor ruled today that the NSA warrentless wire tapping program was unconstitutional and ordered the program's imediate halt.

The U. S. District Court judge struck down the program due to the goverment's violation of key constitional rights, such as free speach, privacy and the separation of powers.

“Plaintiffs have prevailed, and the public interest is clear, in this matter. It is the upholding of our Constitution,” Judge Taylor wrote in her 43-page opinion.

According to Capitol Hill Blue "The government argued that the program is well within the president's authority, but said proving that would require revealing state secrets."

I remember using that logic when I was nine. "I could show you my invisable flying machine, but than it wouldn't work anymore." The Bush administration got caught with thier hands in the cookie jar. Now we just have to wait and see if they actually pay attention to this ruling or continue to flout the rule of law as he has in other cases where the constition is involved.
