Time for overtime guys [Update]

I've spent an inordinate amount of time on the phone trying to figure out where we are and what our expectations for November should be.

One of the constants that has come from these conversations is that many candidates still do not have access to the new ODP voter file system, while others have had access for weeks.

I really don't know what the hold up is, but whatever it is I think someone ought to not be allowed to go home until every single candidate has access to that system. Every day that goes by without access is a day of voter ID and contact lost forever. This just isn't acceptable.

Time to work some over time.

[UPDATE]

Ok, so I talked to ODP after this post and got some more information. I'm told that the administrator worked over time, including over this recent holiday and now everyone who has requested access to the system now has it, and they are currently working to get the Ohio Senate candidates processed.

Hopefully the frustration will be abated and our candidates can now use this shiny new tool and identify with precision all the people who are going to vote for them in the thousands :)

As a side note, and i mentioned this before, this data tool is provided to house candidates by ODP (as an in kind contribution) for the first time. In the past they have had to get their data from elsewhere - and hopefully the data is cleaner than what has been available previously - making us more efficient in identifying likely voters.
