I...Need...The Bus.

Remember back in the good ole' days when you could hope and dream that The Bus might come rollin' down your street.

Well, it got stripped. And I'm in Hackett withdraw. So I searched around and found the next best thing:

The Studebaker Truck.  Keep it rollin'.  Go vote.  Go get your second cousin to vote.

Great post

I miss the bus too. It seems like forever ago when i took that pic. Good times.

If you only knew . . .

. . . how drunk we were when we dreamed up "The Bus Campaign" . . . a few of you 'insiders' know there was actually a plan to have 5 busses. . .

I also have this idea involving a plane . . .

I know the Hackett Bus..

I know the Hackett Bus, I drove and practically lived on that Hackett Bus, and your truck, that is no Hackett Bus...

Ok...

so I should also say I'm a fan of the Studebaker truck, but I've always wondered who do they make drive that thing? Jerid?

Okay, so it might be...

the redheaded stepchild to Hackett's bus....but that doesn't mean we shouldn't love it anyway.

That is....

tooooooo funny!!!  But I do like the mobile billboard!  I call my S-10 with it's Studebaker, Strickland, Kerry, and Bring the Troops Home stickers my mobile "I'm not stupid billboard"!

The Hackett Kids...

Gracie Seamus and Paddy (the Hackett Kids) would never forgive me if I didn't remind everyone that the bus had a name... "Harvey the RV". Atlhough Gracie would later insist that Harvey was a girl and was named Harvette... man I can't tell you guys how much I miss those kids. They were great.

Harvey the RV

Now that's a GREAT name for a bus.  Someone needs to write a kids book about it...Harvey the RV recycles.  Harvey the RV votes.  Harvey the RV visits Congress.

HarveyTracker...

We were actually planning on a number of things like that... We wanted to have the HarveyTracker so you could log on and see where Harvey was. People could blog about it, and send in photos like this one. The kids would actually take my phone and make little videos on the road...

Hmmm . .. things that never happened . . .

 . . . those "Hackett Valentines" were gonna be great . . .
