Brown, K Street and Net Neutrality
We had the great news that the Net Neutrality bill passed out of committee. This in the one issue where my partisanship be damned. So it was pleasing to see all the dems vote for it (except one who voted present) and a few sensible Republicans supported the bill too - well done to them also.
Now it will head to the floor for a vote at some point and Sherrod and Ted get to vote too.
I'm a little concerned about Brown to be honest, especially after seeing this
There are other lobbyists doing the hard core wrangling of legislators. For instance, I learned from several sources and a press release on a web site that our old friend Steve Elmendorf is lobbying for the telcos. It didn't matter of course; the Democrats were whipped into shape by Conyers, Pelosi, and the internet.
Elmendorf if you recall was the K street lobbyist that Brown went to early in the campaign to raise some cash.
I hope to all hell that this isn't the quid pro quo deal that Brown cut. The Brown campaign could use this open question to reach out and let us know where he stands on this issue - and win my 100% support if he supports Net Neutrality.

Now would be a very good time for Brown to make nice with the net and get on the side of good and light. This issue has potential to spill over very quickly. The last thing the beltway wants is an issue that unites Democratic and Republican bloggers against them.

for Sherrod to actually give the GOP Bloggers a reason to vocally support DeWine. Now they don't have to take the high road and try to support Pierce.
