Just got his note -
Russell, my name is Dan Foley, you were great at BSB about covering my brother Mike's campaign for the 14th Ohio House District. Just to let you know, Mike was just notified that after the recount, he won the Ohio House 14th District by 188 votes. As you may remember, this race switched back and forth a few times, and he was most recently behind by 115 votes out of approx. 12,000 cast.As I understand it, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections certified the official count early this afternoon and the vote total is being sent to the Secretary of State.
Yahoooooooooooooooooo.
The Cuyahoga website is confusing...

It says that with all the precincts counted today as of 4:25 PM that Mike Foley had 4,290 and Ritter 4,112.
But then it says in small print above those numbers that it does not include absentee ballots.
Then you look at the unofficial absentee vote for the race Ritter won 578 to 453. But if you add the two votes together, then Foley still wins 4,743 to 4,690 - a margin of just 53 votes!
So does the official final count - including absentee votes - show Mike Foley the winner? I sure hope so.
Not doubting Dan Foley. Just trying to figure out the website numbers of the Cuyahoga board of elections.
A Foley win would be great news indeed! We Dems should proudly - and strongly - support equal rights for all Americans!
