Who Has the Edge In OH-13 ?

Rep. Sherrod Brown's (D) Senate bid opens up a solidly Dem seat, and 17 candidates (9 Dems, 8 GOPers) are looking to replace him. Two Dems have recognizable names to OH 13 voters: ex-Rep. Tom Sawyer, who earned union enmity with his '93 pro-NAFTA vote, and Gary Kucinich, who holds the same antiwar stance as his brother Dennis. Labor atty Betty Sutton, who received an endorsement from EMILY's List, is also viable, and Elyria Mayor Bill Grace has a base in Lorain Co. Free-spending shopping center heiress Capri Cafaro is a wild card. (The NRCC is touting Lorain Mayor Craig Foltin, but he's not politically polished.)
Tom Sawyer with his name ID and base ? The more labor friendly Sutton or the free spending Cafaro ? I have no clue.

Its going to turn into a free for all

The unions will support Sutton and will actively campaign against Sawyer. Sawyer will pick up the business vote. Capri Cafaro will be the spoiler. I think that Sawyer wins the primary because Cafaro and Sutton will split union support. Sutton with her credentials and Cafaro with her "muscle" Leave the gun, take the cannolli. It's Sawyer.

I got from reading around too - but Cararo is spending an incredible amount of money
