New Clinton/Bush '08 Ohio Ad

Administrator - Posted on 29 February 2008

Not exactly sure if this is running in Ohio, but Clinton's new ad is reminiscent of the straight up George Bush "school of campaigning." The ad is titled "Children," see if you get the hidden meaning.

(Video)

"IF YOU DON'T VOTE FOR HILLARY CLINTON YOUR CHILDREN WILL DIE."

The only thing that would make it more heavy handed is if Cheney made a cameo and said a vote for Barack Obama is a vote for the terrorists. I mean come on. Seriously. Nothing like playing on the politics of fear a few days before the primary. Because you seem to be getting bludgeoned to death on NAFTA, your plagiarism charges didn't work, the whole "Reject or denounce" thing fell on its face, no one will pick up your surrogates loosely veiled allusions to drug use - so yea, what the hell! Let's play on the kiddie angle.

Pathetic.

He says he wants his playbook back. As soon as you're done with it.

if ya don't vote for her.

Waiting for the carpet-bombing Clintonistas to defend this ad.

))))))))))))))))))))))- crickets -((((((((((((((((((((((((

As byteb in the DailyKos points out, which Hillary would it be answering "the phone":

Angry Hillary?

Self-pitying Hillary?

Charming Hillary?

Sarcastic Hillary?

Misty-eyed Hillary?

Her temper is on par with John McCain: we don't want someone with an easily roused temper holding the office of Commander and Chief.

To that, I say: Well stated.

At least she answers the phone!  She won't just vote present!

I have to go along with President Bush and John McCain

That's what you wrote elsewhere on this blog, Magoo.

Ohio folks are good people. I trust that when all is said and done that they will see Barack Obama is the best candidate. I understand that Bill Clinton was big here at one time but we need to look ahead to the future now, beyond the Clintons, because the country is in a different situation now then when the Clinton's ran it. Barack Obama would be the best person right now to deal with a sluggish economy, job loss, home foreclosures, and especially the situation in Iraq. Barack has youth on his side - you heard me right! He is younger than any of the other candidates (just like John Kennedy was when he ran for president), but this is a good thing because he will be very eager to help our country since he has youthful energy on his side. He also will be more open to suggestions than Hillary (which makes for a good president). Leadership is not about making yourself #1, it's about making your ability to lead #1. Barack Obama will not be dictating like George W did. Hillary has shown herself to be like Bush in that respect quite often. Let's also keep in mind that Hillary is not entirely like Bill (which she made clear on numerous occasions). I think if Hillary or McCain become president you will see very little change in Washington. Ohio folks are good people, please support Barack Obama because he will back us up on the issues so important to us.
Um Jerid you surely are in need of sleep because your focus is off. This add is not airing in Ohio it is airing in TEXAS. How do I know this?????? Well because anyone paying attention to the add sees that at the end below vote March 4th it asks Texans to participate in their Precinct Convention at 6:45 PM..... The add is very bushesque but get your facts straight.
