Tax Cuts: Most Retarded Debate Ever

Ohio2nd - Posted on 06 September 2006

Mike DeWine's new ad is out.

This stupid back and forth on taxes helps DeWine; playing on the Republican's traditional home turf; avoiding any discussion of accomplishments.

Brown needs to play some offense and shift the debate from these tax cut pissing contests towards spending and results. Pick something... ANYTHING, and start hammering.

Every Democrat needs to get out of their LOVE ME DADDY comfort zone and put on the brass knuckles. Hire a psychic... start channeling LBJ and Kennedy who knew how to suckerpunch an opponent off their game. Brown's betrayal line was good, even if tempered with Kerryesque protecting the middle class verbage.

if i hear one more democrat say "i have a plan," i'm going to spontaneously combust. did anyone read john kerry's 250 page plan? did anyone care? nope. people want hope -- a single big idea to rally around. ted strickland can sell both (his hope speech was brilliant last fall). time to start talking big, taking risks, and strappin on a pair.
I want to rip my hair out when I hear Dems talk about plans.

The flip side of that is that the R's say "They don't have a plan!". I think you need to say you have a plan, and be able to reduce it to soundbites.
Who cares about taxes when we have so many people who either don't work or make so little that they don't have any tax. Let's talk about real issues. There are many things that are more important then taxes. When you finish your list make up something stupid, like handing over the Turnpike to some investors. I loved that idea, just think what kind of toll a Truck Driver will face when the turnpike has no controls on rates. Good Luck All You Bubbas.
