More Fun Facts About Robert Portman At Work

David Potts - Posted on 06 August 2009

The fact that Robert Portman’s employer was directly involved in the first bailout (which Portman supported) shouldn’t endear him to conservatives, but now we’ve got one for the working men and women to consider.

The law firm that pays Portman $800,000/year, Squire Sanders, & Dempsey, recently represented (subscription) the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in an International Trade Commission dispute filed by the United Steelworkers union.

And apparently they didn’t do that well, because the ITC sided with the steelworkers. So not only will Portman not create new jobs, he’ll gladly take money from people actively trying to kill them. And I bet he’ll even smile and claim to be an average joe while he does it.

Hey Rob, do you know if the firm happens to have a “take a blogger to work day”? I want to see what else you and your co-workers are involved in.
