McCain to Make Veep Selection in Dayton?

A now-removed post on the official blog of the Hamilton Co. GOP that was picked up by Politico seems to indicate that McCain is looking to unveil his VP pick on Friday August 29th --the day after the Democratic convention closes -- in a big venue in Dayton, OH. Does this mean that McCain is leaning towards Portman as his Veep choice?

Then why Dayton?

Portman NEVER represented Montgomery County. So why would McCain announce Portman in Dayton as opposed to Cincinnati?
