McCain Gives Plain Dealer A Swirly

How else can you frigging write a headline like: Facts are true, but Obama ad still misleading. Oh really? That's like saying the ground is dry, but its still raining.

No, Not Really

The point behind the headline is that the facts are true, but placing the blame on McCain for the lost jobs is inaccurate. Read factcheck.org on that commercial. McCain did help bring DHL to the US (which saved many jobs in the Wilmington Air Park). FedEx and UPS both opposed this deal because they didn't want another competitor in their market. DHL is losing money, so it has to close the air park now. Saying McCain is the reason the jobs are being lost is plain ignorant. If it wasn't for DHL, the jobs would've been gone 5 years ago.

rating system has no consistency

There are and have been in the past ads on the openers page of cleveland.com that were a majority facutally incorrect AND spun what was factually correct into a misleading web of deceit, and while some of those ads properly received a 0, others received a 3 or a 4 or a 6. Since right-wing posters on the page have begun complaining that the PD is in the tank for Obama in the comments section of every McCain anti-Obama ad, the PD has become less stringent on its rating of McCain ads and moreso on its Obama ratings.
