Live from Tri-C: OBAMAMAMAMAMAMA Mania

UPDATE: Oh what a couple of minutes make on that shot of the gym...

It's 4:30pm. The rally isn't scheduled to start for another hour and a half, but the line is already out the door.

Here's your pre-rally teaser. It's official folks, the '08 Presidential Race has landed in Ohio. With less than 2 hours till the Senator takes the stage, I have a feeling it's going to land hard.

Also, staffers are telling me they had 3,500 signups online...but about 50% of the folks showing up have a ticket, 50% don't. This place is gonna be packed

Obamamama

Cruising the crowd I caught a couple of BSB readers volunteering with the Obama folks. Take a listen to what one's saying.

A couple more shots pre-rally after the break.

Lobby's Filling Up Fast

About 20 shots of this would show how many folks were here at 4:30 when I showed up.

Obama's got a little army of volunteer-hopeful-staffers running everywhere

Tri-C is crawling with volunteers. The story is the same with all of them too. "I want to work for the man. I want to be on staff"

The Line Through Tri-C goes for miles

Literally took me 5-10 minutes to follow the line from the front door all the way to here. That's at 4:30pm too...a couple of hours before the Senator's slotted to take the stage.

Random staffer givin' the volunteers the heads up for how much energy Obama's gonna come out with.

This morning in Cincinnati

the house was packed at 8:00 on a Monday morning, they turned people away and Obama pulled down nearly $500,000.  Not bad for a Monday morning in Cincinnati, heart of "unfriendly" territory.

What's the room capacity?

just curious

Room Capacity....

Fire Marshall says it's 1510...Obama campaign is getting a little loose with the numbers. I've heard double that so far from the campaign...given, they've got about 7 spill over rooms throughout the campus.

Campaign's official tally

Was 7,000. And that's too high. I'd put it at 4,500. 1500 inside the gym, another 3,000 scattered across Tri-C campus.
