John Kaisch Wants To Be Your Guv...But I Thought Mary Taylor Was The GOP Standard Bearer

Administrator - Posted on 20 February 2007

Former Republican Congressman and Fox News correspondent John Kaisch wants to be your next Governor.

Since leaving the House in 2001 after serving 18 years, Kasich has made a lucrative living as the host of his own Saturday night television show, From The Heartland, on the Fox News Channel. He also is the regular stand-in for Bill O’Reilly, host of The O’Reilly Factor, and is the managing director for the Columbus office of Lehman Brothers. He travels the nation giving speeches. (Dispatch)

Dear lord, that's the best they got. O'Reilly's body double!?! After a month of Ted Strickland, Kaisch has come to the conclusion that Ohio needs fresh leadership so much that he's willing to drop his own name. Puh-lease. We've got a name for people like this...they're called "Star Fu..." Oh, nevermind.

Statewide and nationwide, Kasich said, the GOP was repudiated by voters last year because the party "doesn’t stand for anything now. … They got too comfortable with power. Republicans are supposed to be the party of small government. They’ve become the party of big government and raising taxes, all kinds of crazy things — corruption, special favors. You can’t win anything like that."

Well I don't think that's fair John. I can think of plenty of things the GOP stand for right now...blocking an end to the Iraq War, corruption, covering up paige sex scandals, etc.

Here's hoping John jumps into the race real quick like. I could use some comedy.

Geez...It's so nice that a Faux Noise regular like Kasich would set his sights on the Governor's mansion in 2010, but I figured he'd end up being Newt Gingrich's running mate next year.
Jon Husted and if Strickland's Communications people slip up more often like they did with the immigration statement, then he might have a real chance.
CPA to you bub.

...for you Dems. He's not tied to any of Ohio's GOP establishment, so you couldn't falsely tie him to Noe or Taft. You would have to make up some other lies about him.

Besides, Mary Taylor's job will be to keep the Auditor's office for us.

Well let's look at who Kasich worked for in the Ohio Senate when he was an aide -- Buz Lukens -- the Child molester who carried on while a member of the Senate, later went to Congress and was suceeded by Boehner.
What the f**k does that have to do anything?

So sorry.  After much reflection, I just now realized that republicans would never resort to guilt by association.

That's what most Ohioans out of the most ardent conservative circles will say. I bet his name recognition isn't as high as the GOP thinks it is. His show on Fox News is good, but it doesn't get alot of attention.

Aren't these the same people who thought John would be a great presidential candidate in 2000?  And how quickly was John out of that race?  It's interesting that John has managed to stay out of the Bush Administration and Ohio politics for all this time.

Kasich = Newt Gingrich

'nuf said.

So where was Kashish when the GOP led Ohio down the tubes? So much for his bull(shit)y pulpit. Is it 2008 yet?
Is it 2008 yet?
