I've Been Gone a While, But Now I'm Back

Nick D - Posted on 19 January 2010

Hello BSB Readers! It's been a while since we last chatted.

With the 2010 election cycle in full swing, and filled with a desire to work with David to help improve this blog, I have returned to the editorial staff of Buckeye State Blog.

Not everything will be as it once was, however. Before my March 2009 departure from BSB, David and I were co-equal editors-in-chief. Now, BSB will remain David's blog, and I'm just going to write here as a front pager.

Secondly, I'm sure everyone here remembers the manner of my departure. Because of that, I will not write at all about the U.S. Senate primary between Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner and Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher. At all. Attention Fisher and Brunner campaigns: If you want a BSB story about this or that during your upcoming primary fight, talk to David, not myself, because I'm not writing about it.

It's not like there's a shortage of other stuff to write about. Certainly after tonight's bombshell in Massacheusetts.

I'm glad to be back. Now, let's get to work.

But you should talk about whatever you want to talk about. Candidates should focus on running sharper campaigns, not on trying to control bloggers.
Let's work together to retire Ken Blackwell from politics
I have no problem with you writing about the Senate race.
Hey I'm a known supporter of Lee Fisher, and many of my friends are supporting Jennifer...and I for one DO NOT WANT ANY BLOGGER to feel there are forbidden subjects. Write away brother...I mean really...half the bloggers in the blogosphere make no attempt to disguise their bias in the Senate race...and that is a good thing. We don't need any more bland mashed potatoes...let's have some spice in our meals.
