[UpdatedX2]Initial Delegate Breakdowns By District (AKA Do I Get To Go To the Convention Yet?)

Administrator - Posted on 05 March 2008

These are preliminary - as everything isn't reported yet. Per the Ohio Delegate Selection plan, candidates not receiving at least 15% per DC have all their votes thrown out, then a new "base vote" is calculated using just the tallies from candidates who achieved the threshold 15%

Update x2: Here's the Ohio total delegate tally. Following it are breakdowns for At-large, pledged, and district level delegates: w/95.55% of the vote in, these tallies most likely will not change.

Ohio Delegate Total
Clinton:
75
Obama: 66

Update: Here's the At-large and Pledged Party Leader breakdown:

At-Large (31 delegates)
Clinton: 17 delegates
Obama: 14 delegates
Adjusted base vote: 2,194,249

Pledged Party Leader (18 delegates)
Clinton: 10 delegates
Obama: 8 delegates
Adjusted base vote: 2,194,249

But here's how things look they'll be breaking down:

District breakdown tally
Of the 92 pledged delegates Ohio has up for grabs by congressional district
Clinton: 48 delegates
Obama: 44 delegates

OH-1:
Obama was about .025% away from picking up an extra delegate here.

Clinton: 2 delegates (66,342)
Obama: 2 delegates (40,112)

Adjusted base vote: 106,454

OH-2:

Clinton: 2 delegates (59,999)
Obama: 2 delegates (47,566)

Adjusted base vote: 107,565

OH-3:

Clinton: 2 delegates (56,651)
Obama: 3 delegates (63,517)

Adjusted base vote: 120,168

OH-4

Clinton: 2 delegates (51,437)
Obama: 2 delegates (35,031)

Adjusted base vote: 86,468

OH-5
Clinton was about .021 away from picking up another delegate here.

Clinton: 2 delegates (58,682)
Obama: 2 delegates (38,501)

Adjusted base vote: 97,183

OH-6
Running the margin up in this district was very probably one of Clinton's biggest district-specific wins of the night.

Clinton: 4 delegates (98,826)
Obama: 1 delegate (37,661)

Adjusted base vote: 136,487

OH-7

Clinton: 2 delegates (65,126)
Obama: 2 delegates (45,995)

Adjusted base vote: 111,121

OH-8
There's room for

Clinton: 2 delegates (53,039)
Obama: 2 delegates (39,423)

Adjusted base vote: 92,462

OH-9
Aside from the Cleveland OH-10/OH-11 split, Toledo proper was the biggest city Clinton won.

Clinton: 3 delegates (73,781)
Obama: 3 delegates (61,224)

Adjusted base vote: 135,005

OH-10

Clinton: 4 delegates (84,499)
Obama: 2 delegates (50,736)

Adjusted base vote: 135,235

OH-11:
Not surprisingly, Obama picked up 70% of the 11th. I think Stephanie Tubbs Jones has significantly more cover than some folks thought she would in explaining her support for Clinton to the residents of her district because of how the rest of the state voted.

Clinton: 2 delegates (109,544)
Obama: 6 delegates (47,183)

Adjusted base vote: 156,727

OH-12
It's really fascinating to look at the difference between the 12th and 15th districts (they split Columbus in half). I still don't understand why Obama did so well in the 12th, but had a hard time creating the same margins in the 12th. One thing's for sure though, the massive turnout was due to the early voting.

Clinton: 2 delegates (78,925)
Obama: 3 delegates (57,508)

Adjusted base vote: 136,433

OH-13*
Clinton is only .02% shy of picking up an extra delegate here. As results from Cuyahoga county continue to trickle in, she may be able to pull that off.

Clinton: 3 delegates (80,408)
Obama: 3 delegates (61,408)

Adjusted base vote: 141,816

OH-14*
While there are still some results out for Cuyahoga County for this one, I doubt barack will pick up the 1.6% to deny Clinton the full 4 delegates she's got coming here.

Clinton: 4 delegates (82,097)
Obama: 2 delegates (53,700)

Adjusted base vote: 135,797

OH-15

Clinton: 2 delegates
Obama: 2 delegates

Adjusted base vote: 109,614

OH-16

Clinton: 3 delegates
Obama: 2 delegates

Adjusted base vote: 119,231

OH-17
Wow. Simply wow. They both campaigned here hard, but the people of the 17th apparently weren't too interested in what Obama had to say since Clinton nearly beat Barack by double. Hillary's message resonated here, and resonated strong. Trumbull county performed the strongest for Clinton at 66%

Clinton: 4 delegates
Obama: 3 delegates

Adjusted base vote: 159,808

OH-18

Clinton: 3 delegates
Obama: 2 delegates

Adjusted base vote: 106,675

These numbers are now final.

Erin To everyone who voted for Hillary Clinton in the 10 congressional district or who spent time campaigning to elect Hillary Clinton as Commander-in-Chief and President of the United States, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Erin
So, Clinton actually picked up more delegates that Chuck Todd predicted on MSNBC? I hate delegate math. It shouldn't take a week after an election to figure out who won.

Actually Clinton has 4.496 delegates, based on the SOS results:

 (7 * 102 654) / (102 654 + 57 154) = 4.49650831
