HB 176 Equal Housing and Employment Act

Today we had a great press conference and gave sponsor testimony on my anti-discrimination bill HB 176. The Equal Housing and Employment Act prohibits discrimination in housing and employment based on sexual orientation or gender identity.

This is not"special rights" or "special privileges" - it's about equal treatment based on the same rights afforded all citizens in Ohio. I have a republican joint sponsor (Ross McGregor R-Springfield) and 27 co-sponsors. After years of introducing this we have a great chance of passing this in the Ohio House.

Many states, cities and counties have passed similar laws and more than 90% of Fortune 500 companies have these policies. It's time Ohio to do the same. Please contact your Rep and nicely ask them to support HB 176. Thanks! RepStewart
