Guiliani Learns to Love the Ferret

Now this is strange...Reading my National Journal alert today I saw a story noting that a tape had resurfaced showing Rudy's disdain for ferret's. This goes all the way back to Rudy's Mayoral Race. On a call-in talk show Rudy spent about 5 minutes lecturing and arguing with someone over their interest in ferrets. Finally Rudy hung up on the caller and spent another 5 minutes describing how the caller was "sick"...Here are a couple of my favorite quotes:

"There's something really really very sad about you, you need help. You need someone to help you."

"Something has gone wrong with you...your compulsion about it, your compesive concern with it is the sign of something wrong in your personality...you have a sickness...I know it's hard for you to accept this because it's your shield"

In the long run, who knows...maybe the caller was a deranged little psycho that had an unhealthy love of ferrets. I don't know - that's not really my cup of tea. The thing that strikes me about all of this is just how condescending and pushy Rudy is throughout the whole tape. Hell, even the commentators after the video pick up on this mocking "who knew he was Dr. Phil" and that they were waiting for Rudy to attack the caller as a "thoughtless little pig" after he had hung up on him. Not the most pleasant side of Rudy's personality - can't wait to see how much more of that comes out when people start inquiring why he's running the GOP '04 handbook and trying to win votes through fearmongering.

Doesn't really matter anyways, as soon as GOPers see Rudy in a dress their heads will explode.
