Gore Goes On Offense
First, let me note I consult for the Alliance for Climate Protection.
Then, go read Gore's piece in the New York Times, where he takes on "market fundamentalists," cable-news "showmen" and the "paralysis" in the Senate. It is both a good read and an appropriate dose of both realism & catharsis for those of us who actually believe in wacky stuff like evolution, gravity and global warming...

...that Al Gore is nothing more than a tax-eating, wealth-sucking, rent-seeker trying to ride the climate change pony to riches by soaking the taxpayers? Ok, so the recent damning revelations concerning the falsification of the facts may not be his doing. (Although I noted how he dismissed these as minor and unimportant with a wave of his hand.) But stuff like this

of which there is more than just a little bit out there puts him in the same league as the corporatists who attempt to capture the regulatory state so as to enable their pollution.
Al Gore and the rest of the climate change lobby have a loooong way to go before they've convinced the American people that a) their claims are legitimate, and b) their remedy is not an attempt to impose their will on the rest of society.
it's a wonder Gore doesn't win a Nobel Peace prize. Look at all the good he's going to do!
I have some friends outside DC, they have pictures of the storm that brought 12 inches of global warming.
I heard (3rd hand) this morning that former VP Gore spoke at PULSE 2010 in Las Vegas last week (I didn't get to go) and made a comment that if you had time to watch Dancing With the Stars, you're not being a good citizen. I wish I could confirm this somehow and find the context.
I wonder if Murphy Brown was mentioned too?
