When Newsweek went back and looked at the policies Republicans in Congress have supported and opposed since Obama took office, they found a clear trend. If the GOP had got its way, the deficit would have increased and there would be even less jobs.

They lay out their case blow by blow, and it’s definitely worth taking a look at.

By the time I received a copy of the magazine, many of their predictions from the previous week had already fallen. After several weeks of this, I decided not to support their bias. The article you referenced claims the Bush tax cuts will add to the deficit. Isn't it true that the tax cuts increased tax revenues? Tax revenues in 2002 were $1.85 trillion. In 2007, revenues were $2.57 trillion — a 39 percent INCREASE. There's more to the story than meets the eye...
