Fearing Muslims

This is a sad indictment of too many people's thinking.

When radio host Jerry Klein suggested that all Muslims in the United States should be identified with a crescent-shape tattoo or a distinctive arm band, the phone lines jammed instantly.

At the end of the one-hour show, rich with arguments on why visual identification of "the threat in our midst" would alleviate the public's fears, Klein revealed that he had staged a hoax. It drew out reactions that are not uncommon in post-9/11 America.

"I can't believe any of you are sick enough to have agreed for one second with anything I said," he told his audience on the AM station 630 WMAL (http://www.wmal.com/), which covers Washington, Northern Virginia and Maryland

Lots of examples of this kind of bed wetting thinking in the right wing blogosphere here in Ohio. Here's one, from who else but Jihadi Guy. Here's another from Bizzyblog. Who seems to have constructed his entire view from partisan extreme right wing blogs and publications. Obviously a guy who is easily propagandized, which is how the stuff this radio host faked becomes so prevalent.

Bizzyblog is akin to the "good German".

The BB post

Staff, before you and your folks generalize and break Godwin's Law (oh, too late, you already did), why don't you point to some specific errors of fact in The Pajamas Media post by Miniter, or my post, or the WashTimes article.

No, smearing is much easier; why go to the dirty work of actually examining the facts and circumstances when you can play the racist-bigot card?

And no, I wouldn't have "fallen" for the Muslim stamp. But I do believe it was you who fell for the genius who said that Blackwell was going to drop out of the race in March or April. :-->

Tom, no what you need to ask yourself is why your "reporting" doesn't use mainstream sources but instead all relies upon right wing outlets that have agenda's. You are being so propagandized you don't even notice.

I wish I could have found it, but one of your right wing brethern posted a pic of US airways extoling the fact that no muslims at all could fly and that was a good thing.

Truth and facts aren't smears buddy. Just truth and facts. If you want to continue to source your stuff from propaganda outlets that's your right, and I am equally going to continue to call you out on it.

ps. Blackwell might have been better dropping out of the race given the result - my prediction was far less ridiculous than much of the analysis on how Ken was gonna win that came from you guys.

Yawn

Yawn ......

wasn't it

staff that made up that blackwell was dropping out of the race to see how many people he could trick?
