Earth To David...Nick...Jerid? Hello, Is Anyone Home?

Okay did I miss the funeral...or is BSB just in a winter slumber?  This is 2010, man, and there hasn't been a post around here since last year!!!

Okay, I'll start.  I ended last year making a last minute contribution to both Lee Fisher and Jennifer Brunner...because they are both my friends and would both make a great United States Senator.  How's that for political courage?

I remain convinced, however, that the right approach is for the Ohio Democratic Party to find a way to satisfy SOS Brunner's obvious need to participate more in statewide and national politics...while preserving our hold on the Secretary of State's office.

I remember when my kids were in college and I was on the Court of Appeals.  Great job, and I was good at it...but boring.  But when your family needs you, you do the job that is needed.   And that is the case today for my friend Jennifer...we need the Secretary of State's office for the decade to come, and you are our best chance of keeping it.  Your abandoning your post half way through your first term is insulting to your Democratic family...and it puts us in significant peril.

Lee is going to win the primary because his time has come.  He has been a State Senator, he has been our Attorney General, he has been Lieutenant Governor.  And he has played a big role in the lives of kids and families in the private sector...his time to take his experience to the United States Senate is upon us.  And this suggestion that the Secretary of State's Office is just something to be left at the curb is truly troubling.

But that's just me.

Happy New Year all.

And Another Thing...Does LaTourette Get A Free Ride in 2010?

Who is running against LaTourette this year? The man has now raised over TEN MILLION DOLLARS in his career in Congress and all he ever does is vote NO...and then get his friends in the main stream media to take his picture as he brings home federal dollars that he voted against. This is insane. NO on the environment. NO on commuter rail. NO on saving the world's economy. NO on regulating Wall Street thieves. NO on health care for everyone but members of Congress. But that's just me. Bill O'Neill, RN

Still Here

Just a little slow getting back into the swing of things after the holidays. I've been a little under the weather for the past few days.
