DeWine Gubernatorial Rumblings?
I was at a party on Friday night where I spoke with a former Mike DeWine staffer. Off hand, the staffer mentioned DeWine was planning a run for Governor in 2010. The staffer also had some strong ties to the former Senator, since he mentioned he was calling Mike the next day.
Random FYI.
It's long been rumored that DeWine always wanted to be Governor someday and that he'd likely run post-Blackwell.
With Kasich and Portman in the race though, unless they completely divide their vote, I don't see DeWine making a political comeback taking on Strickland.
I don't see alot in the Republican Party pulling for a DeWine comeback. It'd probably be awkward for them to see DeWine running against Portman.
I'd be more interested to know if Blackwell is setting his sights on Voinovich's seat.
