Marc Dann Found In Violation Over Spending

David Potts - Posted on 19 March 2009

Marc Kovac is reporting on Twitter that Marc Dann has been found in violation over spending campaign money on cell phone bills and security upgrades to his house.

Update: Commission chooses not to fine or recommend prosecution over cell phone violation, just a public reprimand. Dann was fined $1,000 for his home security spending.

After the high-profile circus raid of the AG office this is what they came up with?  Like I was saying back when...  BORING!

I still haven't seen any evidence that would have justified Dann's removal from office.  This whole escapade was pathetic, but if it makes Goober and Gomer happy, rawk on OHIO!  Undecided

Still haven't seen any evidence? He hired an office full of dirtbags, lied (under oath) to Ben Espy, created a "culture of corruption", including offices affairs and "Frat Parties" where a young lady was sexually harassed AND received a $475,000 settlement from the State of Ohio TAXPAYERS, but you don't see any evidence? YOU ARE BLIND. The only reason you don't see any evidence is because you think having sex with younger subordinates (and lying about it) is acceptable. Maybe you think that $475,000 for your buddy to hit on an office worker, is worth it?

oh yeah yeah yeah....  pizza and alcohol and a condo...

i wish someone would have handed me $475,000 every time i was "sexually harrassed" under similar circumstances in my youth.  hellfire and damnation, there are more interesting things taking place at my house several times a month to this day, and i'm getting older and uglier by the minute!

but if it makes you happy, yes, yes, of course, marc dann is a very baaaad man!  jewish too!

Dear Mvirenicus, The difference between what goes on at YOUR house and the AG's office, is that you are not the states "Top Cop" in charge of with upholding Ohio law.

YOU can do anything you want around your house, and you can give purple vibrators to ALL of your employees (it might not be legal) that you want. http://www.freetimes.com/stories/15/52/the-pajama-game

I hope you are not a state employee issuing yourself and driving state owned vehicles, equipping them with sirens and lights and issuing yourself a law enforcement badge to yourself passing yourself off as a law enforcement officer. http://www.smithwarren.com/

I hope that you are not carrying a loaded gun in the state vehicle, that you drink and drive in, then trash (on numerous occasions) and fail to report to authorities and charge taxpayers the expense to repair.

I hope YOU are not in charge of state offices hiring such people LIKE MARC DANN WAS.

I hope you are not opening the pants of your party guests while they unconscious and I hope you don't get into bed with your unconscious party guests wearing only your underpants.

I hope that your party guests are not your subordinates from a state office. BUT YOU ARE NOT held to the same standards as the ATTORNEY GENERAL. I hope your employees don't get drunk, get apprehended by the highway patrol and then you use your state office position to pick them up at a SP Patrol station and ask officers to not file a report.

I hope you don't have an Ohio taxpayers check book and write your wife a check for bogus "training courses."

I hope you don't screw your employees and teach your subordinates that extra-marital affairs with subordinates (whose paycheck you sign) is standard behavior and it's ok to do. Get yourself a goomah www.hbo.com/sopranos/mobspeak/ (just shows how they are mob wanna-bees) ps. to MOST people marriage is an vow of fidelity and monogamy even if YOU have an "open marriage" or like "key parties." (there is a swingers club on south High St. I can give you the address to if you'd like)

I hope YOU are not in charge of state offices hiring such people LIKE MARC DANN WAS. There are words from that ....it is called corruption. http://www.buckeyestateblog.com/marc_dann_still_defiant_still_corrupt

If you don't think so, you disagree with nearly everyone in the state (except Marc Dann's Father in law) and maybe Joseph Sommer. http://www.portclintonnewsherald.com/article/BF/20090215/OPINION02/902150331/0/SPORTS

Don't you think the AG should not engage in this type of behavior or be smart enough to not hire these types? Regards, Supporter and Contributor to the Marc Dann for Attorney General campaign.

hey schmennis, is that high st. location anywhere near the palace on broad?   i'm coming down there to see morrissey in april!  ;)

look, marc dann might have been a goof with a goofball friend, but who hasn't had one or two of those in their lifetime?  you've never tried to help a goofball friend given the opportunity?  some bad decisions were made and they went public.

i just think back to the circus that occurred with the very public raid and images of computers and files being hauled away from the AG office, and people being detained in their offices as if the authorities expected to find bodies hidden under the floorboards.  it was ridiculous, and in light of what has surfaced since, doubly so!  where is the evidence of graft and corruption and the brothel being run from dann's office?

show me the public servant's office that wouldn't have bleaker findings given the glare of the media and witchhunt atmosphere.  i'll give you two for a head start:  bernie sanders and dennis kucinich.  after that public carnival, i guarantee there are some witchhunters sighing with relief that the average American has a very short attention span.

Columbus' thriving swinging club circuit is where all the cities strippers and prostitutes are hanging out since the stripper bill passed. (Women are admitted FREE and can charge whatever they want to have sex) Columbus City Attorney Rick Pfifer is at a loss on how they should be handled. I am sure CPD has it "covered" with vice by now. *sarcasm*

The cesspool I refer to is south of my home in German Village located on S. High St. and (Frank Rd.) Hwy 104. It is a REAL sad sight when you want to go to the local grocery store on a Friday night and have to look at a parking lot FULL of upper middle class bored people lining up with their suitcases and [redacted] in their hands, jumping over themselves to gain "entry" to a run down building, willing to "trade" their wife to you like chattel or single guys going to sex a girl that accepts "donations."  (also frequented by local streetwalker drug addicts looking for "dates")

I am sure they have no vendors license, required to meet no health codes or pay no income tax on profits. I am sure they are in violation of fire codes by the amount of people they cram into the building judging by the parking lot.

Most likely it will never be shut down because I hear that some local politicians like the "flair."

But good luck with your visit to our fine city. Maybe I wouldn't mind of they could get some tax revenue out of it.

in the overall i still think of columbus as an overgrown cow town, but i enjoy the occasional visit.  you have an outstanding zoo, german village is way cool, and cbus is probably the only major city in the state exhibiting signs of an economic pulse.  cleveland has been in the process of dying my entire adult life, and i now consider it dead.  we have nothing left here but geriatrics and the otherwise trapped.  russo catches some of the flavor of what it's like to remain in the cleveland area with this post.

regardless, i'm looking forward to visiting cbus shortly.  we'll probably make a day of it if i can scrape up enough money.  we'll also make a point of avoiding the seedy joint you described.  we're not into seedy, just strange.  Tongue out
