Frum sounds like a drama

Frum sounds like a drama queen. He must have forgotten that Republicans did support many of the items in this bill (pre-existing conditions, 25 yr-old on insurance, etc.)

there is no principle behind lieberman's positions save his rabid zionism. otherwise he's only a vindictive twit. you might think kucinich is a twit, but if that's the case, he's a twit with principles.

Despite being in polar opposite positions, they both used their position as a needed vote to try and drag the legislation far into one side of the political spectrum.

It's the same tactic, and I stand by using that assertion at the time this post was written.

kasich needs to start using hair conditioner or have that mop thinned more often. he and i have the same type of hair so i know what i'm talking about, except mine has thinned itself nicely and i don't much need to worry about it anymore.

you can call for dennis's ouster but it doesn't mean a thing, david. there will be no ouster of dennis regardless of which way he votes on this bill. and your comparison of dennis to lieberman just earned you the biggest political dork idiot of the year award in my book.

yucky space to be in

i can understand a vote either way by dems, which is a bit of political evolution for me on this issue. i've now come to understand that this bill's defeat would be a catastrophic blow to the remainder of the obama administration and i'd hate for the teabaggers to get a win, but nothing changes the fact this is a very bad bill and space is correct in his statement of opposition.

what it all comes down is that the congressional dems did a really fucked-up job on health care, and obama showed no leadership whatsoever through this process. i guess the dems find themselves where they deserve to be right now, but the american people deserved so much better.

Or, they weren't able to promise him NASA administrator if he lost. And that job he wanted in Columbus just got filled by Laketa Cole.

Stand tall, Space. Your constituents don't like it, and if you don't think it's right either, vote against it.

American's in Contact PAC are one of several organizations running Push Polls. This one is too afraid to answer their own phone but can call us constantly. Give them a call and since they are cowards just leave them a message. (202) 257-3721

Bringing Children

Um David, lots of people take babies and children to political events. There's nothing wrong with it. What's wrong is attacking people for exposing their children to issues that they believe in. Stay-at-home and unemployed parents have just as much right to attend political events and rallies with their children as those who choose to send their children to daycare.

DK, DK, so Obama took you for a spin in AF1 and now your ready to vote for this DISASTER of a bill, thats putting us further into debt, destroying the best heathcare system in the world.

YES reform is needed BUT NOT forced down our throats being run by the government.

Americans are AGAINST this, they do not want this bill!! how many polls do you need to see that shows overwhelming response that we do not want this. WE PAY YOUR SALARY, WE ELECT YOU, YOU STAND FOR WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT, do what your job is and listen to your constituents!!!

countless people come to the usa for healthcare they cant get ANYWHERE, including the Canadian prime, who came here and SHUNNED the Canadian system by doing so, a system that is behind the usa system by decades, where he would of had bones broken to get the surgey he needed there, but instead came here, paid out of pocket and get a state of the art surgey that NO BONES were broken, unlike in canada where that was the only way to do it since there technology lacks.

things that will happen when the government takes over, long lines, quality of service is going to fall through the floor.

WHAT DOES THE GOVERNMENT RUN THAT ISNT MESSED UP,OVER BUDGET??

they cant run ANYTHING successfully, the government needs to get back to being smaller, what happened to tightening the belt Obama??

please dont quote me those bias numbers from the CBO, they can only compute the numbers given to them and CANNOT question the numbers at all.

YOU WILL BE VOTED OUT, same with every person democrat or republican who votes for this DEBACLE of a bill.

You know who "Rethink Reform" is?

It's lobbyist Rick Berman. He's been perpetrating outrageous right-wing evil for 35 years. He was in the thick of defeating the Clinton health-care reform. He lobbies against anti-smoking laws for tobacco companies. He urges pregnant women to eat more mercury-laden fish, and everyone to consume as much healthy high-fructose corn syrup as they want. The parent group of Rethink Reform is the Employment Policy Institute which exists mainly to campaign against a minimum wage and demonize unions. And, as proof that he's probably tight with John Boehnhead, he even had a group that lobbied to prove tanning was completely safe. He is total evil. Google him.

Traitor Boccieri

I have e-mailed John Boccieri on three occasions to ask him to vote yes on the health care bill. His response to my first went somthing like this: There are many concerns that must be worked out. He is working hard for his constituents concerning this health care plan. Second response was that the current bill does not do enough to contain cost. In my last e-mail,I asked him to tell me , yes or no if he is going to vote for this bill. The following is the his response: Dear Mr. Siladi, Thank you for contacting me regarding health care reform. I have sought the input of constituents, small business owners, and health care professionals during this debate. The input I received from you and others gives me valuable insight into the challenges patients, doctors, and hospitals face every day in our health care system. I believe all Americans should have access to quality affordable health care coverage that can be carried from job to job and prohibits insurers from denying coverage for those with pre-existing conditions. We should place more emphasis on eliminating inefficiencies in our current system. Our health care system should focus on disease prevention and wellness programs to fight chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease. Like you, I strongly believe the United States should not provide health insurance for illegal immigrants and that our current Medicare programs must be strengthened and protected for our seniors. The bottom line is health care reform must allow patients and physicians to work together to determine the best care for the patient. I will make my decision whether to support the reform measures before us in the U.S. House after reading the final bill in its entirety and weighing it against the concerns, criticisms and ideas that I've gathered over the past year. Please visit my website www.boccieri.house.gov for more information. I encourage you to take time and read it with me. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you. Sincerely, John Boccieri Member of Congress (As you can see, I get spin and no answer to my question. I'm willing to bet he will vote NO, even if the CBO says that it will cut the deficit) This man is a republican in disguise).
