So when I saw that Sarah Palin was not only not running for reelection but stepping down, I instantly became suspicious.</p> <p>Turns out that suspicion may not have been off the mark. It’s now being reported that Palin may soon be tied up in a <a href="http://thinkprogress.org/2009/07/03/palin-hockey-arena-scandal/">major corruption scandal</a> that’s been kept mostly quiet so far.</p> <p>While the Think Progress link above has a pretty good description of what went down, it basically seems that Palin has received several gifts from a construction firm that she’s helped get major state contracts.</p> <p>Could yet another Republican Presidential hopeful bite the dust?
