Where Have All The PUMA’s Gone?

All week here in Denver I’ve been joking about going into the PUMA HQ wearing an Obama shirt, but there’s just one problem: no one knows where exactly the PUMA HQ is. In fact, it’s been pretty hard to find a single PUMA protester, much less a large group.

They’re here, I know that much. I’ve even heard that Cynthia Ruccia unsuccessfully tried to talk the Ohio Hillary delegates into mounting a coup. But at the same time they don’t seem to have anywhere near the numbers it would take to justify the press coverage they’ve been getting.

After the excellent speeches from the Clintons, hopefully we'll be able to put all of this talk of a divided party to rest.

As for other protests, I haven’t seen much either. No violence or screaming mobs, just small groups with signs or painted vehicles driving around. Even that much has been rare.

I talked to a police officer last night who told me that there had been some protests yesterday after people walked from a Rage Against the Machine concert, but they didn’t amount to much. As she put it, “they were too tired from the walk”.

All in all, I’ve seen far more police than I’ve seen protesters. I wonder what the situation will be like in the Twin Cities?
